Portrait of Christopher Reeve as Kal-El, or Superman, in the role that catapulted him from actor to superstar and Hollywood legend. Prior to this role he had been a small-time actor with only one movie credit and a few TV roles. Casting him in the role is as close to perfection as you get in Hollywood and catapulted him from SAG-rate actor to superstar and matinee idol.
